PlayArt at Kulturmødet Mors
20 August 2021

LegeKunst provided the background for a debate on how art and culture promote children's play and education. The debate was wide-ranging, with Christian Have as host: why does it work so well when art and culture meet the youngest? How can we evaluate when these encounters create quality in daycare and when they don't? Should there be more focus on artistic skills in teacher training?

The participants were Lars Geer Hammershøj, (Associate Professor at the Department of Education and Pedagogy, DPU) Tobias Lindeberg (Head of Development, DEA Think Tank), Eva Meyer (Head of Day Care, Helsingør), Randi Bjørndal Jensen (Head of Education, Copenhagen University of Applied Sciences), Zenia Stampe (Cultural Spokesperson, Radical Left), Kasper Sand Kjær (Cultural Spokesperson, Social Democratic Party) and Serine Sinding Yde (Independent Artist) - with input from Brian Mikkelsen (Director, Danish Business).
