How have you experienced the co-creation between artist/cultural educator/cultural school teacher, educators and children and possibly researcher?

We have worked together to unleash our imagination in nature, based on what we had and what we could find in the forest.

How do pedagogical staff act differently than they did before PlayArt?

Our starting point changed during the process, from a focus on "how we as staff can help children express themselves through aesthetic processes" to "what should we look for when working with artistic processes in order to better immerse ourselves with the children."

In the play art project, we have practiced letting go of control and being a little wilder.

We have found that when we created a high level of participation opportunities, we saw an increased motivation in the children.

We now have a greater focus on the fact that in joint activities, it is good to take into account that what we are doing is something everyone can participate in and that the activity is not too difficult for some of the children.

We have found that it works well for the children to do joint projects and work with the community, for example by making sculptures or paintings together.

We have a clearer view of what works for the children if we want them to immerse themselves in the process. For example, it's important that what we do doesn't require too much help from adults.

We experienced that in the co-creation process, where children and adults were in a joint process and together came up with what to do, there was a particularly good atmosphere and joy.

What has it been like to work with action learning?

It has worked well that we have been able to adjust together and do more of what has worked well for the children. In the joint discussions with the supervisor, artist and us as pedagogical staff, we have made several discoveries together, precisely because there has been a framework and opportunity to discuss the initiatives we have made.

What are educators still/now curious about?

We are still curious about creating a framework where the children are co-creators, which is where we have seen the children immerse themselves and get into flow.
