Model 2: LegeKunst Butterfly

Artistic inspiration for the educator's own work with the children before, during and after an artistic or cultural experience: theatre performance, concert, museum visit, cinema trip.

PlayArt Butterfly unfolds in three phases:

  • Inspiration: Before the artistic/cultural experience. Here the focus is on the educators' work to 'voice' the children, work with aesthetic expressions and make them curious about the upcoming artistic experience.
  • Experience: For example, a play, concert, film, dance performance or visit to a museum. The artistic/cultural experience, where children form a range of impressions and gain new aesthetic experiences from their encounter with an artist/cultural mediator.
  • Processing: After the experience, where educators ensure that children continue to immerse themselves and create their own expressions based on the impressions they have gained from the experience.
