DANCE YOUR MUSIC

WHO MADE IT UP?
Choreographer Ulla Krebs Bille and musician Connie Pilgaard

WHAT DO YOU NEED?
Set of pieces and instructions Mind the Gap, possibly a lot of small instruments, then build the track with stations with the same instruments

HOW TO

Balance track with Mind the Gap pieces
1. Make stations with pieces of the same kind, 7 stations in total, laid out on the floor as shown in the picture. Follow each other around the circle in groups of 1-6 people. Dance freely between the pieces, each time you meet a piece, keep your balance on the piece (if you have an elbow or hand piece, you can touch the floor with your knee or foot to help). Put music on for the game, and stop the music each time you have to balance.

Extension: each participant in the group gets a number from 1 to the number you have chosen to be In the groups, you can take turns to decide when to dance and keep balance. This can be further extended by taking turns to decide dance steps and how to balance.

2. Lay out the pieces from the same circle but now put them in small groups as shown in the picture. Keep the balance facing each other and if necessary hold hands to help each other find the balance.
